I don’t know about you guys, but I love to see what recent Amazon purchases people are buying. My April purchase history was a bit all over the place! I’m in the process of getting Iyla ready for potty training, Alina is going on her first flight and I like to order myself lots of randomness for myself or the house. So let’s get this started!
Clothing & Accessories
I recently had a daytime event to attend and ordered a couple of tops from Amazon that could also be used for work attire. This puff sleeve smocked blouse was the winning top for that event and it is great for spring! It comes in other colors and prints so you can order for any season. I chose white because it’s bright and airy for spring but can be versatile year round. It has a smocked bodice all around, the sleeves have an elastic on the arm to give it that puff sleeve look and has a peplum waist line.
It runs true to size and I have paired it with black jeans and cute sandals for work to give me a stylish and spring outfit. You can also style it with some slacks if you would like.
As a backup top, I ordered this black puff sleeve top which I love and would be great for a night time event or date night. It looks like it’s a bodysuit but its an actual top but you could tuck it in or leave as is. It’s fitting on the body and has a great square neck with beautiful puff sleeves. If you want the fitted look I would say it runs true to size, but if you are wanting something a little less fitting then size up 1. It comes in other colors and has an option that has buttons down the front.
I recently realized that I didn’t have any “basic” belts that I could pair with some jeans and bodysuits for some reason. So of course I ordered this combo pack of belts! Let’s get real, I’m not going to spend $1200 on a Gucci belt so I feel like these are still stylish but basic enough to spruce out an outfit. They come in singles or you could get different colors and patterns in a combo order.
Lastly, I ordered these ankle straps to take with me to the gym for glute kickbacks on the cable machine. I’m slowly but surely building up my gym supplies that I can take with me in my gym bag to help build the booty! They come as a single or you could order two. I considered getting the single but I really didn’t want to be switching them back and forth while trying to work out so I just ordered the set of 2.
Alina
So Alina had been asking to go see the new movie, The Bad Guys, when it came to theatres so for Easter, I put Book 1 into her Easter basket. She breezed through it really fast so I ordered her Book 2 and Book 3 from Amazon. She breezed through those as well and we went to see the movie when it came out – super cute, both girls loved it!
In a couple of weeks she is taking her first flight with my mother-in-law and I ordered her some items to keep her entertained on her flight. If you need more inspo on items to keep younger kids entertained in the car I have a blog post here with items I got for a road trip we took in 2021. She is absolutely OBSESSED with Pokemon right now, so I ordered her this “Where’s Pikachu” Book. It’s similar to Where’s Waldo, but Pokemon!
She’s extremely creative and I have heard great things about these WikkiStix Sculpting Sticks! I think she is going to have an absolute ball with these and I’m excited to hear how she liked them.
I don’t know about you guys, but I used to love coloring by number as a kid. So I saw this Melissa & Doug Color by Number pad and ordered it immediately. Last year when we went to Denver, she loved the water color pads by Melissa & Doug so this is going to be a good switch up. Also she is older than Iyla so she understands and knows what she has to do whereas the water coloring pads were easier for Iyla being a toddler.
The last item I ordered for Alina was a new chore chart! She is getting older and I want to make sure that she is developing the skill of being responsible and learning life skills. If you remember she used to have this star responsibility chart which was great for when she was a little younger. The only complaint I have about that chore chart was you can’t really customize the chores to what you would like them to say. It does come with a couple of blank squares but I wanted something that was completely customizable.
So with that being said, I ordered her this mermaid magnetic chore chart. It’s the size of a piece of paper – not huge but I don’t mind that. I know some of the reviews were upset about how “small” it is, but the size doesn’t bother me. You have the option of writing daily chores and then weekly chores. It’s a point system but you could easily make them denominations if we want to start paying her for her chores. There are tons of other patterns to choose from for boys and girls. So far we really like it!
Iyla
Little Iyla is about to start her potty training journey! We have tried multiple times in the past but she is TOUGH and stubborn so I am pulling out ALL the tricks to make this successful. To start off her haul, I ordered her a cute unicorn potty chart with fun unicorn stickers and reminder signs. In the past we made our own charts but it wasn’t exciting enough for her so I figured I would just buy her a fancy chart to give her that extra excitement!
We have a few packs of training panties but saw these Paw Patrol panties and felt like it was worth getting her new ones to get excited about wearing.
I’ve been building up a basket full of little toys and prizes to give her when she successfully uses potty. She absolutely loves to dress up and play princess so I ordered her this set of princess necklace and bracelets.
RANDOM HOUSE ITEMS
We have been trying to find different ways to maximize our countertop space in the kitchen because it is very limited. So I ordered this matte black paper towel holder that attaches to the underside of the cabinet. Rather than needing to be drilled into the cabinet, it has an adhesive to stick to it. The less amount of drilling the better lol!
Lastly is my holy grail stain remover that I shared on my IG stories last week. I use this stain remover on Iyla’s shirts because she is a messy toddler and it takes stains off marvelously. Alina recently had an accident at school that resulted in her getting blood on her jeans and this stain remover took it right out! Miraculous results and I always have to have some in my laundry room – highly recommend!
