Getting kids to eat vegetables is probably one of the most loathed tasks of a parent – can I get an AMEN! Unless you have an Iyla who is for some reason drawn to green things haha.
I recently started to drink green smoothies to not only help myself get some good healthiness in a cup but to give it to my girlies as well. The best part about smoothies is you just throw some stuff together until you have your mix that is just right.
Overtime, I have made some edits to my smoothie recipe and I got it just right to where the girls literally beg for me to make it! Enjoy!
Spinach Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 Banana
2-3 Strawberries
Handful of Raw Spinach
1 Cutie Orange
1/4 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt (Preferably Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla Greek Yogurt)
Ice* Or you can use frozen strawberries & banana to thicken the consistency
Combine all ingredients in blender until well blended. Freezing the fresh banana and strawberries helps to make the consistency of the smoothie thicker than just using ice.
