Halloween Costume Ideas for Kiddos – Baby Edition

October 9, 2019

Halloween is a few weeks away and approaching fast! I have been searching the internet high and low over the last couple of weeks trying to figure out what I am going to dress my cutie baby up as and I have seen so many adorable and “heart eye” worthy costumes.

Just in case any of my baby mamas are needing some inspo for baby costumes, I wanted to attach them all here to help you out so be sure to keep reading this blog post.

I also considered creating a post for the older kids but I am somewhat unsure because I already know that Alina is super opinionated and doesn’t let me choose a costume for her so I feel like everyone else probably has big kids the same way. Let me know!

If you’re interested in any of the costumes, just click on the name of it and there is a link attached to take you straight to the site!

Baby Sloth

When I saw this costume I about died! Sloths are so trendy right now and they are adorable so why not dress your baby up as one. I saw a FB video of a little baby girl that was dressed as this and crawling – talk about dying in laughter – I loved it.

Llama

I have had my eye on this costume ever since I saw it. Llama’s are also very trendy right now which makes this the perfect costume. I also love that it comes with little pajamas that go under the costume that way baby is comfortable.

Swan

I don’t think I have ever seen a swan costume so when I saw this one, I thought it was so unique and cute. I also love that it has small sparkly detailing on the belly and crown!

Avocado

Excuse me but Avocado is extra…..ADORABLE! Who the heck doesn’t love avocado’s?! Especially an avocado dressed baby!

Cookie Monster

Out of all the characters on Sesame Street, Cookie Monster is by far my favorite! So of course I would love this costume. It also seems like it would keep baby warm because of the cooler weather we experience here in New Mexico as we near Halloween.

Dalmation Puppy

This costume is a two piece set which I think is super helpful because it seems like it would keep baby a lot more comfortable. It’s pants and a little zip up jacket with a hood. An idea to join with this costume would be to draw a couple of spots on baby’s face if they’re willing!

Ghostbuster

Who you gonna call….BABY GHOSTBUSTER! Right now Alina is obsessed with Ghostbusters but she is not willing to do a family dress up this year. BUT – this would be such a great costume for baby if you are concerned about them not liking having a hood/hat or once piece puffy costume! It’s just a zip up overall and they would look so adorbs!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin costumes are just an all time favorite and classic! This costume is a “bunting” costume so it’s like a little sack you put baby in. This is a great option for those babies that are too little to sit by themselves or wear the other puffy costumes. If you expect that baby will sleep through trick or treating, this is a nice comfy option for them to be in!

Giraffe

Now I love me a giraffe so of course it would be a given that I love giraffe costumes. This one is a pullover vest that goes over striped pajamas that way baby is comfy all night!

Bat

Lastly, I love me a classic baby bat! I saw a few different bat costumes and this is the one that stuck out to me the most! Simple and cute while looking that it would be comfy for baby as well. Comfort is key.

So pretty much all of the costumes are super affordable so they will not break the bank. A few of them are from Carter’s and they are currently running a sale right now of 50% off everything in store & online so now would be the best time to snag them!

Definitely love this time of year and I’m pretty stoked to see what everyone comes up with creatively as well as individually! Make sure to comment below if you already know what your baby, family or you are planning on dressing up as this year!
