$2 DIY Glow Bracelet Valentines for Preschoolers

February 10, 2019

Valentines Day is coming up and it’s that time to get ready for your kiddos party and valentine exchange. I like to be creative and make Alina’s valentines rather than buying the paper ones from the store because let’s be honest…those just get thrown away. AND on top of that, she’s in Pre-K and those kids don’t even know how to read 😆 so yea…

I prefer to use something that the kids will actually use such as a toy or a snack etc. I just feel like it gets more use if they’re interested in the actual “gift”. You can check out last years valentines here, we gave her friends little slinky’s.

When going over ideas with her for this year, she decided on giving her friends glow bracelets. I feel like any kid LOVES glow sticks, glow bracelets, glow necklaces, pretty much anything that glows!

So we hit up Walmart and picked up a couple of packs of the glow bracelets. They were $0.97 so you cannot beat that deal! I think a box of paper Valentines goes for around $5+ depending on what you get. So it doesn’t get any better than that!!

Her class is quite small, only 10 kids, so each pack had 5 hence why we got 2 costing us the $2.

Here is everything that I used to get this DIY project done.

You should have everything you need at home already, all you really should need is to buy the bracelets. I try to keep a pretty stocked craft closet, so if you have a paper cutter AWESOME, if not you can just use scissors. Also, I used card stock for my actual valentines so they would be strong enough to hold the bracelets.

So I’m sure if you search the internet for a valentine template you would most definitely find one. I created my own valentine template because I just always feel the need to get some creativity out whenever possible. I love using Canva which is free to an extent but it’s super duper user friendly. If you want to use my template that I made, you can find it here.

You can always type in the kids names as well as your kid, but I like for Alina to practice writing her name so I made her write her own name out on all of them. Practice makes perfect 😬

After the names are written, you can then cut them out, punch a hole in the top and bottom, attach the bracelets and BOOM 💥 DONE!

These were seriously one of the easiest Valentines to make! If I had to do more it would still probably take me max 10 minutes!

Let me know what you think or what you’re planning on doing for your kiddos since Valentines Day is less than a week away!
