I know I shared my morning routine with you guys recently and it hasn’t really changed. If you have not seen it, you can read it here.
I recently added one extra step into my routine that has been tremendously helpful to get my mind in the right place every A.M.
During my morning brain dump a.k.a journaling, I answer a journal prompt to help spark reflection and gratitude.
At the beginning of the new year I came across a blog post about using journal prompts to start the year off the right way. If you want to check out the blog post you can find it here!
It’s basically 19 prompt questions that you can answer to reflect on your last year as well as help you build a plan for the future with the goal of self growth!
Self-growth has been a priority of mine for a while now which you all know if you have been following me the last few months.
Taking the time to complete a daily ritual such as this is so crucial in my opinion!
Here’s an example of one of the prompts:
When a flower doesn’t bloom properly, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower itself. The same is true for YOU. You can’t heal yourself in the same exact environment where you got sick. Realize this, respect this, and do your best to surround yourself with people and situations that push you to be your best. Less drama, less mess. Just higher vibrations and intentions, inside and out.
How has your daily environment been affecting you recently?
I have been absolutely loving these daily prompts and I have no idea what I’m going to do when I finish all 19! I love that the author of this blog also included quotes that are related to each question for that day.
I am such a believer in starting my day brain dumping in my journal! I have even been trying to convince Daniel to do it as well to help relieve any stress or try to get clarity on situations.
Ever since I have made this crucial ritual apart of my routine, I CANNOT start my day without it! If I’m running late, I will still make sure that I take at least five minutes to get a quick journaling in. My day just doesn’t go right if I don’t take the time to do this.
Over the last couple months I’ve noticed I am so much more calm and less stressed out everyday.
You all need to try it out if you are looking to grow this year personally and micro-focus on you and your happiness! I promise you will be so thankful you tried it.
If you don’t want to go out and buy a journal you can always do a brain dump on a quick piece of notebook paper or copy paper. If you want you can also throw it away after if you don’t want to keep the dumping 💩
The whole point is to get clarity and de-stress! Do what works for you and you will be thanking me later!! I also would be so happy to hear how your experiences are if you try it out!!!
