Hi Everyone! I know..I know..I haven’t been able to post in a bit, but I have been going through some personal/family issues lately. Although we are still dealing, I am back and ready to keep consistent. So per usual, during my long strolls down the Target aisles, I noticed the skincare brand, Bliss, has now been brought into Target. I personally have not heard of this brand, but the display stated it is a well known brand within spas. I’m always willing to give anything a shot, so I picked up a couple of items to start off with.
The first product I picked up is the Makeup Melt Cleanser. Not only does the name of it make you curious enough, the description stated it’s a “dry/wet” jelly cleanser. I’m not even gonna lie, the jelly description alone is what got me hah! It just sounded like it was going to be interesting. The cleanser also contains rose flower extract in it, so I am all for that as well. As I talked about in my Witch Hazel post, rose is fab for the skin so I was immediately sold.
Upon using the product, it actually has more of a milky consistency rather than a jelly texture. That was slightly disappointing, but I’m not mad at the actual texture of it. I have been testing this out for about a month and I have to say that I am quite pleased with the results. Being that the consistency of this product is more like a milk, a little goes a long way. It’s easily spreadable and gentle as well. This product is made for all skin types, but it is also primarily for sensitive skin which I’m a fan of. My skin is very prone to getting dried out by products, so after rinsing and patting dry, my face feels very soft and clean. The scent is a very light lavender which is great! Even though this product is a “makeup melt“, I still have yet to try to use it as my makeup removal AND cleanser. Sometimes it’s hard to step out of my comfort zone and stray from my routine!
With that being said, I also picked up a pack of the Makeup Melt Wipes. Although the cleanser serves as a makeup melt and using wipes is not necessary, I still feel as if I need to wipe off the makeup with a wipe first and then cleanse. Of course along with everyone else in the beauty community, Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes are my go-to makeup removing wipes. In the past I have tried others and nothing seems like it lives up to the standard Neutrogena has set. I still wanted to give these a shot and I actually really adore them. They have a perfumey scent which the packaging says is a “light cucumber and aloe scent“. I personally think it just smells florally, but either way it is a refreshing scent compared to the Neutrogena wipes. I also love the softness of the wipe. You can just feel a difference in the softness and it makes it reassuring how gentle it is. And lastly, the wipes contain chamomile which is supposed to help calm and soothe the skin.
I definitely had a positive experience with both of these products and am extremely excited to try some more of them. I absolutely love how affordable they are as well. I paid $10 for the cleanser which I think is a great price point because my Pixi cleanser costs me $20. The wipes were $6 which is more expensive than the Neutrogena wipes, but it comes with about 5 more wipes than Neutrogena so that solidifies the price for me. For all my animal lovers out there, all these products are cruelty-free so that’s another plus.
Have you guys seen these products in Target? Has anyone else tried them? Let me know, I would love to know your experiences!
