Hi Friends! Happy March! So I know I have mentioned before my new toned down makeup preference for everyday looks. I mainly changed my routine for personal reasons as well as time management reasons! I have to be at work by 7:30 AM daily and I can’t be fussing with my makeup for hours. Well I technically can if I want to wake up at 4 AM hah…BUT I already wake up at 5 and ride the struggle bus most of the day, so I make sure to keep it light and simple so I can hurry and get myself and mini ready for the day. I know years ago when I used to work in retail, I used to spend FOREVER getting ready, but those days are long gone hah! I now prefer a more comfortable and natural look. I also make sure to keep my makeup bag in the bathroom with all my essentials so I’m not running back and forth from the bathroom to my makeup desk.
Foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless has been my ride or die for quite some time. It’s affordable and a small amount gives great coverage.
Brows – Of course I have to use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown to fill in and slightly shape my brows.
Cheeks – Some days I will do a slight cheek contour with Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer – usually depends on my mood and time frame that day. My go-to blush has been Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in “Paaarty” which is a great mix of pinkish and peachy tones.
Highlight – I LOVE Dose of Colors X Desi & Katy Collab Highlighter in “Fuego”. Hands down this has been one of my best/favorite make-up purchases EVER! I love Desi & Katy and was extremely stoked when this collab came out.
Eyes – If I have the time, I will give myself a bit of sparkly eyeshadow on my lids or depth creation in my crease to switch it up. To achieve this, I will use some of my bronzer on a fluffy blending brush and work it into my eyelid crease. My everyday mascara has been the Almay Multi-Benefit mascara because it helps my allergies stay at bay which you can read about in one of my previous posts here. I also have been loving putting a brown tone eyeliner in my waterline to give a bit of depth to my eyes without causing a racoon eye effect. Having sensitive allergy eyes, Maybelline has a Super Skinny Eyeliner that helps keep from irritating my eyes.
And that my friends is how I keep my work week makeup routine simple and quick! Of course you do not have to use all of the same exact products, but I have tested a lot of products to find my favorites. What types of products do you guys use as your ride or dies? Talk to you guys soon!
xoxo Renee
