Hi Everyone!! Let’s jump into what I have been using that is a serious staple in my opinion. To give you guys a bit of some background, there was a time a few years ago that my skin was acting horrible and I couldn’t find a product to help me clear my monstrous blemishes. I would always pile on the make up to help me hide what was causing me some serious self-esteem issues. *Doing this does not work so just keep makeup light on the blemishes* I attempted using a toner to help my skin balance what it was missing (or so I thought) and it resulted in drying out my skin extremely bad. Due to that experience I have stayed away from any sort of “toner”.
For a while now I have seen many Pinterest and Social Media posts about Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner and I finally felt like I built enough courage to try it. My sister did help convince me to try it as well since she uses some face wipes that have Witch Hazel in them – if it works for her I figure it’ll benefit me too. The main selling point for me is the formula is Alcohol-Free making it a non-drying toner. I also got a bit giddy about it because it contains three ingredients that are everything you want in a skincare product; Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera and Rose Water. Witch Hazel is a natural ingredient that fights bacteria, repairs broken skin and helps reduce acne. Aloe Vera and Rose Water both contain natural anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce any redness and irritation. Literally a blessing in a bottle.
They do sell other fragrances such as Lavender, Cucumber, Lemon, Original and Unscented. I personally love rose scented stuff so that’s why my choice was a no brainer but I definitely will be trying the other scents as well. This product comes in two sizes to choose from – a monster bottle that is 12 fl. oz. or a small 3 fl. oz. bottle that I personally recommend if you are interested in trying it out first. When I was at Target looking, I got kind of worried because I thought they only had the large monster bottle and I was unsure if I would like it so when I found the baby bottle I was immediately relieved.
I have gone through one bottle of this blessing and my skin is looking fabulous! Yes, I do get a couple small blemishes here and there which is expected from wearing makeup daily. BUT I have not had a large painful blemish in a long time *knocking on wood*. What’s amazing about this product is it’s recommended for any skin type – no need to worry. I have combination skin; I start off dry and as the day goes on the oils build up. By the end of my day, my face is shiny and makeup can pretty much slide right off. *yuck*
I use this product 1-2 times per day after I wash my face. I will squeeze some on a cotton pad and wipe all over my face and neck. Depending on how dry my face is feeling, I will also put on moisturizer after but sometimes this products natural ability to moisturize is enough. I honestly love this product so much I recommend it to everyone! Try the baby bottle and see if it works for you because of course everyone’s skin is different.
I will be picking up the Lavender scent next because Lavender has it’s own benefits for the skin such as naturally reducing scarring and increases healing. Has anyone else tried this product? I would love to hear your experiences!
