The Best Facial Cleanser To Fight Acne

The Best Facial Cleanser To Fight Acne

Lovelies I hope you all have been doing fabulous! I have been a busy bee lately with work, school, mom life, blog life, housewife, the list goes on and on. As I was contemplating what beauty product I was going to talk about next, I was like...HELLO I obviously have to talk about my ride or die facial product that never lets me down.

Little backstory....When I was dealing with some really bad acne issues, I was trying every cleanser under the sun to help rid me of this issue. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that! I tried high end products, I tried products from the drugstore, I felt like I had tried everything and I still couldn't shake these horrid monster pimples. Of course when I was strolling the makeup isle at Target, I was checking out some of the Pixi products because I had seen a lot of YouTubers recommending the Pixi Glow Tonic as a toner. So I tried this product out first and it DRIED my skin out like the Sahara Desert. It was bad!! I found out my face doesn't like anything with Alcohol in it so decided to go for a gentler approach.

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser

After my Glow Tonic fail, I purchased the Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser. After a few weeks using this product I saw MAJOR changes in my skin. It is a gentle cleanser but it also exfoliates the skin in order to remove dead skin cells and impurities. I love gentle and non-drying cleansers. I have had many experiences with other products that dry out my skin after washing it because it strips my face of all its natural oils. Not only was it gentle, but my acne was clearing up and I was so excited because nothing had been giving me the results I was looking for.

The Glow Mud Cleanser retails for $18 for a 4.5 fl oz tube and you can pick it up at Target! A little goes a long way so you won't have to worry about going through it too fast. I wash my face twice a day and a tube will last me about a month if not longer. Being that I was getting such good results with the cleanser, I decided to give another Pixi skincare product a shot.

Pixi H20 Skin Drink Moisturizer

Of course I am all about hydrating products because our skin needs lots of hydration. You don't want dry flaky skin that looks like you transformed into an alligator okay!! So hear me out, this moisturizer literally feels like you are wiping a water bubble all over your face and it gives the best results when paired with the Glow Mud. It's not a very thick consistency, the texture is an interesting gel. This product will instantly hydrate any dry skin and you feel can feel it! Once again, a little goes a long way and you will be thankful to not be going through skincare products like crazy.

The Skin Drink Moisturizer comes in two different sizes: 1.18 oz tube with a pump for $22 or a little baby 0.41 fl oz tube for $8. I have purchased the large tube and it lasts me forever, but I'm not a fan of the pump. With that being said, I buy the little baby tube and it lasts me a long time as well for being how little it is. I can go about 2.5-3 weeks with the baby tube so that shows how much product can go a long way. And mind you, when it's running low, I chop the end of it and get ALL THE PRODUCT OUT...nothing goes to waste!!!

I have been using both these products for over a year and they still do wonders for my skin. Just recently I was using the Bliss Beauty cleanser that I talked to you guys about here and I noticed a little patch of raised blocked or irritated pores near my nose. So after one day of going back to my tried and true Pixi duo, the bumps were GONE! You all need to go to a Target near you and pick these staples up ASAP!

Has anyone else used these products before? Or any other Pixi skincare products? I have been looking at buying the Rose Cleanser to try out - obviously I am a lover of all things Rose. But that is all I got for today...let me know what you guys think or want me to try out etc.
